Lunch Log: Week 129

After much anticipation my workplace has moved.. a few meters on the same block. The new building was supposed to be finished late last year but naturally with construction it was delayed at times due to logistics and weather. Air conditioning! Space! The team was one of the first to be moved in due to being the largest though the in actuality the new building hasn’t been completed yet.. so lunch is still back in the old building (I dislike eating at my desk unless it’s cake day).

I have been overstocked on chicken this week, and rather than having another monotonous week of karaage I deliberately went for different cooking methods each day. However I think I might have to go vegetarian or pescatarian next week – it’s just too easy to always have chicken all the time!

In the new building at work and I can’t tell the time of day. But it’s definitely not a sign of not wanting this lot: chicken karaage, steamed broad beans, BBQ zucchini, coleslaw, carrot, pickled cucumber and an umeboshi

On tanabata, together at last: 2 different coloured toms. Lunch is chicken & egg with konnyaku, cucumber & wakame salad, broad beans with capers, cherry tomatoes, garlic kale, pan fried sea bass and 3 types of onigiri (kombu no tsukudani with tororo, yukari and umeboshi with tororo)

I actually am pleased with the chicken/egg/konnyaku bit, though I’d meet protest if I serve it at home as oyakodon..

I still fail at recreating the chilli chicken I loved to get back in Parra.. Oh well, it has a fibre boost.. Lunch is spicy chicken with konnyaku, garlic kale, tomato, coleslaw, garlic broad beans and kombu no tsukudani

This KFC demands kimchee. Lunch is Korean fried chicken, garlic kale, tomato, kimchee, BBQ mushroom and steamed broad beans.

They don’t kid around when they say that it’s crispy: the double frying was rather effective..
