Simmered Dishes

I have been slowly increasing the amount of side dishes I make so I can have them on-hand for lunches. While Yvan took away smoked salmon sushi I left mine more simple.

Reading up the varieties of capsicum, though the green type has the best nutrition it isn’t as sweet so I made a compromise and used a yellow and orange one for the ‘stirfry’.

Top tier contents: garlic capsicum stirfry, rocket, rice topped with umeboshi.

Bottom tier contents: leaf beet namul, grilled eggplant, boiled egg, mini tomato, lumpia.

With Yvan’s lunch I was rather happy to see that the amount of sushi was not being present in overwhelming numbers. With the big flavours in both the rolls and the side-dishes I hope it catered for his tastes. However, the note is a little less inspiring this time..
