Finally, at the bookend of May – and another exhausting beer festival! What I like about investing the time to make meals when at the venue is the smugness I get when looking at the line of food vans while I have my tasty food AND feel the money left in my pocket.
IN UR FACE FALAFEL VAN!!! WITH YOUR OVERPRICED FALAFEL!!! HAHAHA, CAN’T TAKE MY MONEY NOW!!!
I guess I should be thankful, they inspired me to log these things… With my tedious descriptions…
Ah. CURSE YOU, FALAFEL VAN!

Take that, expensive festival food! Lunch is spinach namul, tamagoyaki, miso mayo salmon, pickled radish and umeboshi onigiri

The festival broke me, though to be more accurate it was probably the late hour getting back home. Lunch is carrot kimpira, grilled okra, salt and pepper squid, tomato, tamagoyaki and an umeboshi
May 25
There is a danger of repeating this menu every day due to availability of ingredients. Lunch is beef and veggie stir fry, tamagoyaki, tomato, spinach namul, carrot kimpira, steamed asparagus and an umeboshi
May 26
More grub inhaled at the festival, quick before the evening trade! Mind, this was hours ago; I’m pretty beat. Lunch was mapo tofu beef, steamed asparagus, tomato and pickled radishes

Ah, something comforting after a hard few days… Beef ragu with a tomato sauce on linguine. Very much not my mum’s spaghetti bolognese
