Not a very inspiring week to branch out of the what is seeming to be a regular menu, I’ve tried to resurrect some older ideas to at least provide something different with making piri piri and packing steamed broad beans.
Unfortunately, despite how common some of the dishes are they are tasty addictive…

Feeling the drain of crunch time, it’s a mix of the healthy and not so healthy. Lunch is spinach namul, steamed broad beans, steamed baby carrots, fried eggplant with soy and lemon, chicken karaage, steamed broccoli and onigiri (hijiki with yukari and sesame seeds and umeboshi)

Fresh rice is the nicest, but piri piri sauce should rest before using to intensify flavour. Lunch is tomato salad, jalapeños, piri piri chicken with yogurt dots, steamed broccoli, steamed broad beans with capers and kombu no tsukudani with sesame

Now for something completely different. Spaghetti with fresh tomatoes, rocket, olives, roast tomatoes and garlic and anchovies… Not the prettiest or healthiest looking bowl, but it’s full of flavour (ie: olive oil)

Hello long Easter weekend, I’m ready for you already – don’t make me wait! Last night I made mapo dofu by memory and it seems like I’m forgetful as it turned out a little saltier than last time, but at least there’s less chilli oil. Lunch is tamarind capsicum, tomato, mapo dofu and spinach namul.
