“Hi, I’m Kit and I’m addicted to karaage.”
*Hi Kit*
Ok, it’s one thing for perfecting recipes but it’s another when it certain items keep repeating and this limits the menu selection.. On the good side, I think I have a fried chicken recipe/technique that I should be posting it as soon as I can determine the rough amounts of ingredients used.
This week seemed rather ‘dense’ in the proteins – all chicken and beef! Hopefully the next one won’t repeat this pattern.

Oh dear, looks like I’m getting complacent with these repeats. A slight alteration with the chicken with Chinese 5 spice and cayenne pepper for a mild “hot” version. Lunch is pickled radishes, tomato, steamed broccoli, bean sprouts & konnyaku with tamarind and chicken karaage

*burp* something’s telling me that I’ve packed too much food today. Lunch is alfresco with chicken with a teriyaki glaze on garlic bean sprout namul, steamed broccoli, tomato, pickled radishes, BBQ roasted yellow capsicum, carottes râpées, runner beans goma-ae and a multi sushi selection (inari, crabstick hosomaki, kappa roll, avocado hosomaki and California rolls)

Oh the anticipation when something like this is revealed…
I really should make this more often! Bibimbap toppings include pickled radishes, garlic bean sprout namul, simmered shiitake & black cloud fungus, sesame runner beans namul, spicy eggplant, stir fried yellow zucchini, “cheater’s” bulgogi and a soft boiled egg.
I wonder if I can attempt a “noriben” version…

Noriben today; filled the bottom tier but it feels like I’ve eaten more. Layers from the bottom: rice, runner beans namul, yellow zucchini garlic stir fry, rice, cheater’s bulgogi, stir fried bean sprouts, rice, nori

Totally did not know what to cook, so it’s karaage again.. Lunch is runner beans goma-ae, broccoli stem & carrot kimpira, tomato, steamed broccoli, picked cucumber, pickled radishes, spicy chicken karaage and an umeboshi
